Description

The Foundation supports more than 400 organizations on Long Island and nationwide since its inception in 1993. Horace Hagedorn was the creator of Miracle-Gro and after the merger between Miracle-Gro and the Scotts Company, he left his share of the proceeds to the Foundation. The Foundation is guided by the belief that all children deserve a happy, healthy, and safe start to life. The Foundation considers parents and supportive communities to be essential players in the successful start of a young person’s life and transition into adulthood. It seeks to support and promote social equity on Long Island, NY, specifically Nassau and Suffolk counties. Details about the application process and the initiatives it supports can be found on the Web site.
