DescriptionThe Foundation, which stands for Support the Arts Regionally, was founded in 2009 to support youth-related theatrical arts in Monterey County, Calif.. In the fall of 2013, the Foundation changed its focus to include all youth-related performing arts. Grants are awarded to supplement existing programs by providing funding for capital technical expenses, such as lighting, sound, and musical equipment; support for guest artists/docents in acting, makeup, scenic, sound, and/or lighting design; maintenance of musical instruments, and more. The Foundation will also fund reimbursement of discounted tickets for students and their families for local productions. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
