Description

Beginning in 2015, the Foundation embarks on a new, five-year strategic plan, strengthening its commitment to create and increase job opportunities for people with disabilities striving towards employment. The Foundation’s Community Employment Grants support nontraditional solutions that increase employment and career outcomes for New Jersey citizens with disabilities. Disabilities must be caused by stroke, multiple sclerosis, injuries to the brain and spinal cord, and other chronic conditions. Applicants working in employment are encouraged to forge new collaborative relationships within their communities with economic development, corporate, and private groups working to build inclusive, sustainable, and viable communities. The grants can fund new pilot initiatives, demonstration projects, or social ventures. The Foundation does not provide traditional program or operating support for ongoing employment programs. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
