Description

The Foundation is dedicated to passing the best possible environmental legacy to ensuing generations. Working through a volunteer board, the Foundation serves those committed to the responsible stewardship and active enjoyment of the beauty and diversity of the natural resources. The Foundation promotes the study of the mountains, forests, and streams of the Pacific Northwest, and contributes toward preserving its natural beauty and ecological integrity. It offers two levels of grants: Community Conservation Education grants and Paul Wiseman Conservation Education grants. Community Conservation grants are limited to no more than $5,000 and are meant to support modest, short-term projects related to conservation education and must be consistent with the Foundation’s vision and mission. The Wiseman Conservation grants are $30,000 and envision significant environmental education benefits with carefully articulated goals and outcomes. These grants should have a high impact or visibility and could span multiple years. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
