Ing Unsung Heroes Award

Category

: Education

Description

The Award, created as a way for the financial services company to show its support for education, is given to K-12 educators pioneering new teaching methods and techniques that improve learning. Projects can either have been initiated or ones that applicants would like to pursue. Projects are judged on their innovative methods, creativity, and ability to positively influence students. The Program selects 100 finalists to receive a $2,000 award payable to both the winning teacher and his/her school. At least one teacher is selected in each of the 50 states. Of the 100 finalists, three are selected for additional financial awards: $25,000 for first place, $10,000 for second place, and $5,000 for third place. All K-12 educational professionals are eligible to apply including teachers, principals, paraprofessionals, or classified staff. The Program is administered through Scholarship America and application forms are available online.
