Description

The Foundation was created in 1995 using the net proceeds from the sale of the JFK Medical Center in Atlantis, Fla. Profits from the sale were converted into an endowment for a health-focused Foundation to help serve the health care needs of the people of Palm Beach County, Fla. The Foundation supports organizations, which provide health care, help people who need health care, and educate others about health care. The Foundation also targets its grantmaking toward programs and projects that support the building blocks of good health like food, shelter, clothing, and transportation through its annual Quantum in the Community initiative. Applications for Quantum in the Community grants are available from June 4 through August 30, 2014. Applications for regular grants are accepted year-round. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
