Description

The Foundation believes that a child’s destiny is shaped by its early experiences. In an ideal world, every child, regardless of economic or social status, would enter school prepared intellectually and emotionally to take full advantage of the educational opportunities available to it. The Foundation’s resources are devoted primarily to programs designed to equip young children with the intellectual, emotional and other skills and attributes they will need to be able to learn effectively. The Foundation will only accept unsolicited requests for funding for programs which are directed at improving the literacy and emotional well-being of children from birth through the early elementary years and only from organizations providing services in the New York City metropolitan area. Additional information including an online letter of inquiry can be found on the Web site.
