DescriptionThe Foundation exists to help underprivileged youth reach their full potential by supporting youth-serving organizations. The Foundation defines “youth” from ages 0 to 25 years. Innovation grants are awarded for programs or services defined as “uncommon, untested or otherwise unconventional.” The Foundation prefers to fund programs and services that are outside of current customary practices, such as an intensive weekend tutoring program for at-risk students or an incentivized youth savings program. To be eligible, organizations must serve youth in the greater metropolitan areas of Baltimore, Boston, Los Angeles, Madison (WI), Philadelphia, San Francisco, and/or Washington, D.C.
