Description

The Foundation makes grants for programs and projects that benefit the people of Hawai’i. Priority is given to projects and programs in the arts, culture, and humanities; community development; education; environment; health; human services; spiritual development, and youth development. The Foundation does not make grants to the Hawaii State Department of Education schools or public charter schools, to the University of Hawaii, and generally does not fund endowments or operating support. Applications should be submitted online. Organizations must first establish an online account with the Hawaii Community Foundation to access the online application. The Board of Directors meets in March, June, September, and December. Applications must be submitted by April 1, July 1, and October 1.
