DescriptionThe Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the Illinois casino. The Foundation focuses its grantmaking on three areas: Core Grants, Elgin Grantworks and Vital Lands Illinois. The Foundation’s Core Grants target education, economic development and environment. Educational grants support activities that promote equal access to a high quality education that leads to excellent student outcomes. Economic development grants
Promote economically healthy regions. Environment grants protect and preserve natural resources. Grants from the Elgin Grantworks program support Elgin-based organizations. Vital Lands Illinois grants fund acquisitions of irreplaceable and vitally important natural landscapes across Illinois.
