Description

The Foundation is a grant-giving trust with Quaker family roots located in the United Kingdom. Its mission is to contribute to the development of a just society based on a commitment to nonviolence and environmental sustainability. Grants are awarded in the following categories: peace and sustainable security and environmental sustainability. Peace and sustainable security grants support the development of ways of resolving violent conflicts peacefully and of addressing their underlying causes. Environmental sustainability grants support work that addresses the pressures and conditions that risk global environmental breakdown. Grants are awarded to United Kingdom registered charitable nongovernmental organizations. Priority is given to organizations working to influence policy, attitudes, and values at a national or international level. Some additional information can be found on the Web site.
