Description

The Foundation focuses its grantmaking on the following areas: alleviating poverty, preserving and protecting the environment, and capital needs. The Foundation strongly favors approaches to strengthening families and preserving the environment that work at pivotal inflection points when the greatest opportunity for transformational change exists. Alleviating poverty grants support programs and projects aimed at strengthening the family. Of interest are programs and services that provide opportunities for low-income families and youth who are taking steps to improve their lives. Preserving and protecting the environment grants support open space preservation and environmental education. Capital needs grants allow an organization to deliver crucial services to the community. Organizations located in San Mateo and northern Santa Clara counties in California are eligible to apply. Applicants are asked to submit a one-page, letter of inquiry via e-mail. Additional details can be found on the Web site.
