Description

The Foundation was established in 1966 exclusively for charitable, religious, scientific, literary, or educational purposes. The Foundation makes grants to educational institutions, specifically parochial or church-related school and nonprofit hospitals. The Foundation also makes grants to private organizations and institutions that provide services and/or assistance to people who are mentally, physically, or developmentally impaired or disabled; people suffering from drug or alcohol abuse; the aged and the poor. The Foundation also makes grants to religious institutions and social service organizations that seek to preserve and instill traditional moral and ethical values, respect for the family, concern for others, self-reliance, and a productive life. Generally grants are made only to organizations and institutions that are located, or provide their primary services, in Central or Eastern Pennsylvania.
