Irwin Andrew Porter Foundation
The Foundationís mission is to fund innovative projects that foster connections between individuals, communities, the environment and the world at large. The Foundation focuses its grantmaking on a broad range of interest areas and priority is given to projects that require and/or inspire those directly benefiting from the project to give back to their communities both during the project and into the future. In grant applications, the Foundation is looking for innovation, inspiration, effectiveness, heart, programs that foster connections between communities and individuals, and organizations willing to form partnerships with others to accomplish their goals. Also a priority are programs and projects that inspire, require, and enable people to give back to their communities much, or more, than they have received from the project. Geographic funding areas in the United States are Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. Projects located outside of the United States are not restricted by country or region. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
