Edward E. Ford Foundation
Category: Education
DescriptionThe Foundation, created by Edward E. Ford, the son of the founder of IBM, focuses its grantmaking solely on grants for independent secondary education only. Independent secondary schools must hold membership in the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) to be eligible for consideration. Giving is limited to schools located in the United States and its protectorates. Most grants are for $50,000 or less, with a match of at least one-to-one. The Foundation’s board expects that the matching fund will be used for the same general purpose as the grant monies. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
