DescriptionThe Foundation focuses its grantmaking on grassroots organizations in the United State and abroad with an emphasis on the environment, population and reproductive health, welfare reform, health, human rights and global security, criminal justice, community development, youth, civic participation, and special opportunities. Programs must serve low-income populations with preference given to short-term needs. The Foundation provides support for matching funds, operating budgets, seed money, continuing support, and special projects.
