Description

The Grassroots Organizations Program funds small, community-led organizations that are addressing racism and poverty and developing grassroots leaders by the way they do business every day. The foundation is especially interested in promising groups that have few other sources of support. The grants support a combination of general operating/project expenses and organizational development goals. Participating organizations receive two grants of 18 months each, with the second grant contingent on accomplishing agreed-upon outcomes under the first grant. Organizations in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia, are eligible to apply.
