DescriptionThe Foundation focuses its grantmaking on programs and projects in the arts, education, social services, and the environment that are located in the communities where the Company has a presence. Arts and culture grants support organizations in the areas of visual, literary, and performing arts, public radio and television, libraries, museums, and related cultural activities. Education grants support public and private higher education institutions, adult education programs, and education-related organizations. Health and social services grants are largely reserved for those communities in which the Company has a presence and are directed through contributions to the United Way. Civic grants fund programs in justice and law, community and neighborhood improvements, the environment, civic activities and equal opportunity, citizenship and safety. Proposals, preferably in concise letter form, are accepted and reviewed throughout the year. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
