Description

The Trust, named for the late Fred G. Meyer, who built a chain of retail stores named for him throughout the Pacific Northwest, makes grants to organizations in Oregon and Clark County, Washington. The Trust’s grantmaking falls into three areas: strategic initiatives, grants, and program-related investments. Its Responsive Grants are awarded in the areas of social services, health, affordable housing, community development, conservation and environment, public affairs and social benefit, arts and culture, and education. Grants are earmarked for a wide variety of projects, expansions, organizational capacity building, and capital construction. The Trust prefers to be one of a number of funders and almost never provides 100 percent of a project’s funding. Initial inquiries are accepted at any time. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
