DescriptionWith more than 125 attorneys and offices in Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia, the legal Firm is committed to serving the communities in which its employees live and work. The Firm’s Community Grants program aids ambitious nonprofits addressing children and youth education and welfare issues in Baltimore City and Washington, D.C. Each year, the Firm awards three grants to community organizations that already have the manpower in place but lack the financial support to implement their local projects. A special grant category gives selected grant recipients a volunteer supplement. Under the supplement, the Firm’s grant committee selects an organization to which 10 to 20 of its employees can volunteer their time and increases the award from $10,000 to $15,000.
