The Oak Hill Fund
Category: General
DescriptionThe Fund, established in April 2002, promotes the well-being of mankind through effective and inspiriting grantmaking. The Fund focuses its grantmaking on a variety of areas including promoting the principles of sustainable and affordable design in residential housing; advancing women’s reproductive health and rights; and improving the quality of life in the greater Charlottesville, VA., community. Under the sustainable and affordable design category, the Fund supports organizations that primarily focus on incorporating principles of sustainable design and construction of affordable residential housing in the United States. Women’s reproductive rights grants expand, defend, and improve the reproductive health and rights of girls and women and help build strong communities. Grants in this category are limited to the southeastern United States. The Fund uses an online grant application process that begins with a letter of inquiry. The Fund prefers project-specific requests in lieu of requests for general operating support and only supports overhead that’s required for the proposed project. Additional information is available on the Web site.
