DescriptionThe Foundation is accepting letters of inquiry from United States organizations for its Environmental Justice program. The program supports work to prevent the disposal of toxins in communities, and to link environmental issues with economic and social justice. Grants are awarded for general support, projects, and collaborative efforts. Proposals designed to build the capacity of social change organizations working in the Foundation’s areas of interest are also considered. Priority is given to organizations with annual budgets of under $1 million. Funding is not awarded to individuals or universities; to support conferences, scholarships, research, films, media, and arts projects; or to capital funding projects, fundraising drives, or direct social services programs. The Foundation does not accept applications via e-mail and does not open attached files. Additional information is available on the Web site.
