DescriptionThe private, family Foundation seeks to support a variety of nonprofit organizations that serve youth in Vermont. Founded by a mechanical engineer, inventor, and business entrepreneur and the co-founder of Photo Electronics Corporation, the Foundation seeks to foster a sense of well-being, curiosity, and empowerment in the lives of Vermont youth so that they are best equipped to meet the challenges of the future. Grants are awarded to organizations that offer a wide variety of services and opportunities to children and adolescents including improving health and welfare, education, job and skills training, creative instruction and experiences, leadership roles, exposure to the natural world, and unique experiences that broaden perspectives. The Foundation awards grants for general operating expenses, project expenses, and capital projects.
