Description

The Association is the largest nonprofit, nonpartisan organization for people ages 50 and older. It works to empower people to choose how they live as they age. The Association's Purpose Prize honors extraordinary people ages 50 and older throughout the United States who are using their life experience to make a difference and build a better future for all. Individual founders or co-founders of a 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization based in the 50 U.S. states or the District of Columbia that use innovative approaches to an existing or emerging problem are eligible to enter. Applicants must currently be age 50 or older and have begun the work they are doing at the age of 40 or older. Up to 15 Purpose Prize winners will be awarded prizes for their organizations.
