Thoroughbred Education And Research Foundation

Category

: Animals & Wildlife

Description

A fund of the Chester County Community Foundation, the Foundation aims to support students in pursuit of education in equine industry careers and to fund research efforts that better the lives of the thoroughbred racehorse. Priority is given to programs and projects that address equine education, equine research, veterinary medicine, and the proper care of horses. The Foundation does not award funds to facilities that care for unwanted (abused, neglected, or abandoned horses) or retirement horses because funds for this equine population are available elsewhere. The Foundation has two deadlines: April 1 for education grants and June 30 for research grants. Only electronic applications will be accepted. Visit the Web site for additional information and application links.
