Venturous Theater Fund

DescriptionThe Fund supports ambitious and challenging new work by creating room for the experimentation and risk in new play production by small-and medium-sized nonprofit theaters in the United States. The Fund's Venturous Capital Grant Program supports the production of text-based, author-driven new plays that are challenging in form, controversial in subject matter, ambitious in scale or scope, audacious and irreverent, and/or experimental in concept. Grants are awarded for specific costs that are integral to those plays' production, and which might otherwise make them difficult or impossible to produce. Grants are limited to theaters that produce on Actors' Equity Association contracts. Visit the Web site to learn more and for application information.
