The Foundation is a privately funded philanthropic organization that provides an opportunity to focus on the family's common interests in encouraging personal initiative, advancing individual freedoms and liberties, and positively contributing to society in the areas of education and scientific research. The Foundation envisions a society that cares for all its members and endeavors to enhance individual self-worth and dignity. The Foundation's Education grants are generally made to organizations that serve individuals and communities in the greater Chicago area. But the Foundation also considers leading U.S.-based programs that reach broader populations across the U.S. and internationally or have the potential to have a meaningful impact on best practices at the national or international level.
