DescriptionFounded in 1900 to promote the exchange of ideas among philosophers encourage creative and scholarly activity in philosophy, facilitate philosophers' professional work and teaching, and represent philosophy as a discipline, the Association currently promotes the discipline and profession of philosophy. The Berry Fund supports the Association's committee on public philosophy, which works to find and create opportunities to demonstrate the personal value and social usefulness of philosophy. Eligible applicants must be members of the Association. Some additional information can be found on the Web site.
