The Tyler Prize

DescriptionThe Prize is one of the first international premier awards for environmental science, environmental health, and energy. The Prize is awarded for achievements in environmental science, policy, energy, and health, conferring great benefit upon humanity. The Prize is endowed with funds from the John and Alice Tyler Charitable Trusts and is administered by the University of Southern California. The Tylers sought to create an international award that would recognize those working to preserve and enhance their world and inspire others to understand the importance of the environment. Recipients encompass the spectrum of environmental concerns, including environmental policy, health, air and water pollution, ecosystem disruption and loss of biodiversity, and energy resources.
