Home Depot Foundation
Category: Community
DescriptionThe Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the building supply retailer. The Foundation works to increase awareness of the connection between quality affordable housing, adequate natural spaces, and trees to the overall health and success of its communities. The Foundation’s grantmaking supports two programs: The Affordable Housing Built Responsibly Program and the Healthy Community Trees Program. The Affordable Housing program supports organizations building homes that conserve energy, water, and other natural resource, and that people of modest means can purchase, operate, and maintain long-term. The Healthy Community Trees program funds projects that contribute to the “greening” of neighborhoods through planting trees.
