Community Heart & Soul Seed Grant Program

Category

: Community

Description

The Organization seeks to help people to shape the future of their communities by actively seeking the collective wisdom of all residents, improving local decision making, creating a shared sense of belonging, and ultimately strengthening the social, cultural, and economic vibrancy of each place. The Program is a resident-driven process that engages the entire population of a town in identifying what they love most about their community, what future they want for it, and how to achieve it. The Program provides $10,000 in start-up funding for resident-driven groups in small cities and town across the United States to implement the Community Heart & Soul model. Grants require a $10,000 cash match from the participating municipality or partnering organization. Applicants must be from communities with populations of 2,500 to 30,000 people. Applications that are submitted by the last day of the month will be considered the following months. Visit the Web site for additional information and application instructions.
