Description

Founded by an avid conservationist and president of the National Parks Association, the Trust supports nonprofits that promote the conservation, study, and appreciation of nature. The Trust's funding areas of interest in order of priority are: conservation of renewable resources in Massachusetts and New England, including funding acquisition of land for acquisition of land for conservation purposes; management techniques designed to improve environmental quality and species diversity; applied, rather than theoretical bird and forestry research and management; and the creation of materials or projects designed to foster an appreciation of and a concern for wildlife and natural systems.
