Description

Through its Rudy Bruner Award for Urban Excellence, the Foundation focuses on improving urban areas. The Award acknowledges those areas that have been developed with vision and imagination and have transformed urban problems into creative solutions. Winners of the award reflect a balance between form and use; opportunity and cost; and preservation and change. Applicants must be a real place, not a plan or program; been in operation enough time to demonstrate success; and located in the continental United States. The Award recognizes one Gold Medal winner and four Silver Medal winners each biennial cycle. The Gold Medal winner receives $50,000 and each Silver Medalist receives $10,000.
