Volvo Environmental Prize

DescriptionSince its launch in 1990, the annual Prize is one of the scientific world's most respected environmental prizes. It is awarded for outstanding innovations or scientific discoveries, which in broad terms fall within the environmental fields. The Prize promotes scientific research and innovation and has been awarded on a broad swath of topics, from biology to urban development, energy specialists to poverty adversaries and others who are exploring the path to sustainability. Self-nominations are not accepted. he Prize of $150,000 is awarded annually in Stockholm, Sweden every November. Visit the Web site for application information and more about the Prize.
