Description

The Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the financial services Organization. The Foundation has a mission to sustain the path out of poverty through health care and education for women and children. Grants are awarded to programs and projects that work to eradicate extreme poverty and hunger; empower women and youth by offering them opportunities for self-development and economic advancement; promote well-being and access to healthcare for women and their families; and provide disaster relief. Funded projects align with the goals of the United Nations as well as other nonprofit organizations and nongovernmental organizations. Grants are awarded for grassroots projects in New York City and Washington, DC, as well as the states of Maryland and Virginia that work to eradicate extreme poverty. In 2019, the Foundation also supported projects in Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, Liberia, Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, and Afghanistan. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
