Description

The Norwegian Foundation is a trust that funds communication projects which mitigate anthropogenic climate change. The Foundation seeks to promote efforts to protect the natural environment, primarily through the support of national and international projects. The Foundation’s chief priority is to prevent or limit manmade global climate changes. It works to influence public opinion, provide inspiration, change attitudes, spread information, and other communication strategies to have an impact on decision-makers in society. Grants are awarded to efforts that are innovative, experimental, and untested. Priority will be given to means and measures which are likely to have the strongest possible impact at any given time; those that support communication that creates change; prioritizes politically oriented communication; supports new voices, actors, and narratives in the climate debate, and value diversity. The Foundation welcomes applications from all over the world. All projects must center on communication. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
