The Wallace Alexander Gerbode Foundation

DescriptionThe Gerbode Foundation, in conjunction with the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, is awarding grants for the creation and production of major new contemporary plays by young California playwrights. The new works, created by California playwrights of great promise who are age 35 or younger at the time of the application, will be commissioned and premiered by Bay Area performing arts organizations. Guidelines and application forms are available on the Web site. Applications are not accepted electronically and must be printed, single-sided, on 8½- x 11-inch sheets of paper.
