Description

The Foundation awards grants to qualifying organizations that have an abiding interest in the history and culture of the South. Grants are awarded for museum and archive support, preservation, educational programming, research, and books. Typical recipients include colleges and universities, scholarly societies, and other public charities that collect or advance knowledge of the South. Academic disciplines and areas of interest include: history, English, literature, law, agriculture education, and historic preservation. The Foundation makes operating support, publication subventions, research, and program grants. All applications must be submitted in writing. Faxed copies will not be accepted.
