DescriptionThe Foundation’s focus is on preventing damage to the natural systems upon which all life depends. Funds are earmarked for environmental and reproductive rights projects. Also of interest are programs that address toxics, sustainable agriculture, U.S. reproductive rights, sustainable communities, U.S. environmental justice, strengthening the U.S. nonprofit sector, and environmental issues in the metropolitan New York region. Organizations in southern and Rocky Mountain states only are eligible to apply for sustainable agriculture grants. Other grants are open to organizations throughout the United States. Applicants are asked to submit a letter of inquiry.
