DescriptionThe Fund believes that women are powerful catalysts for change and that strong women’s organizations and movements make transformative shifts in power that are crucial to women realizing their rights and creating lasting solutions to the world’s problems. The Fund helps to advance the movement for women’s human rights by director resources and raising the voices of women worldwide. It invests in local, courageous women and women-led organizations, and creates digital advocacy campaigns on critical global issues for women and girls. Grantmaking invests in the human rights of women and girls, mobilizes resources, and empowers women’s organizations and movements. The Fund’s grantmaking focuses on three areas: zero violence, economic and political empowerment, and sexual reproductive health and rights. Applicants must be based in a country outside the United States with their primary focus being to advance women’s equality and human rights; a group of women working together that’s also governed, directed, and led by women.
