Retirement Research Foundation
Category: Seniors/Aging
DescriptionThe Foundation, created by John D. MacArthur of the MacArthur Foundation, is accepting proposals from nonprofits for local and national projects designed to improve the quality of life for older Americans. Grants will be awarded for projects in one of the four interest areas: advocacy, direct service, professional education and training, and research. Advocacy grants seek to achieve enduring social change around issues affecting older Americans. Direct service grants seek to improve availability and quality of community-based and residential long-term services and supports. Professional education and training grants seek to increase the competency of professionals and paraprofessionals who serve older adults. Research grants seek causes and solutions to significant problems for older adults. Projects must have a local focus in one of the following seven states: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Missouri, Wisconsin, and Florida. However, advocacy, training, and research projects of national relevance will be considered from organizations located anywhere in the United States.
