Description

The Foundation invites applications for programs that engage youth and communities in learning and in ways to bring together community-based systems that promote learning. Grants are awarded in four program areas: Educated Kids, Healthy Kids, Secure Families, and Civic Engagement. Educated Kids grants help ensure that all children get the development and education they need as a basis for independence and success. The Foundation seeks opportunities to invest in early childhood development (ages zero to eight) leading to reading proficiency by third grade, graduation from high school, and pathways to meaningful employment. Healthy Kids grants support programs that work to ensure that all children grow and reach optimal well being by having access to fresh, healthy food, physical activity, quality health care, and strong family supports. Secure Families grants support programs that build economic security for vulnerable children and families through sustained income and asset collection. For Civic Engagement grants, the Foundation partners with organizations committed to inclusion, impact, and innovation in solving public problems and meeting the needs of children and families who are most vulnerable. Additional information including an online application can be found on the Web site.
