Description

The Foundation is interested in promoting healthy living and wellness. Founded in 2007, it provides support to nonprofits in the Midwest United States whose purpose is to provide nutrition, fitness, and wellness education and opportunities, particularly in economically disadvantaged populations. Here the Foundation is especially interested in collaborative efforts toward community change. The Foundation also awards funding to programs that increase access to healthy foods and that do so by developing local food delivery systems, increasing distribution of fresh foods, and work in sustainable agriculture, urban farms, and community gardens. Grants also support large, regional food banks. The Foundation only accepts applications and letters submitted using its online system. Organizations doing work in Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri, or Kansas are eligible to apply. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
