DescriptionThe Organization is the independent, nonpartisan, conflict management center created by Congress to prevent and mitigate international conflict without resorting to violence. The Organization works to save lives, increase the government’s ability to deal with conflicts before they escalate, reduce government costs, and enhance our national security. The Organization’s Priority Grant Competition supports nonprofits working in or on Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, and Sudan on the issues of communication and peacebuilding. It funds activities that enhance mechanisms for advancing the knowledge and practice of conflict prevention, conflict management, and post-conflict peacebuilding.
