Kalliopeia Foundation
Category: Arts & Culture
DescriptionIn mythology Kalliopeia (Calliope) is first of the nine Greek muses. The Foundation’s mission is to contribute to the evolution of communities and cultures that honor the unity at the heart of life’s rich diversity. The Foundation has three programs: Fostering a Global Consciousness of Oneness; Nurturing the Inner Life; and Indigenous Cultures. Fostering grants contribute to a growing awareness of what unifies rather than divides people and evolves an understanding of what it means to live in harmony with the whole of life. Nurturing grants support cultural transition to an increasingly interconnected world through transformative and contemplative work that reconnects humanity to the essential unity at its core. Indigenous grants empower, encourage and protect the flourishing of indigenous peoples, cultures, and languages that carry forward ancient traditions of kinship with all of life. The Foundation accepts letters of inquiry year-round; full proposals are by invitation only. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
