: Democracy & Government

Description

The Foundation, whose board is comprised of members of the Coors beer family, seeks to promote a better understanding of the free enterprise system. Its grantmaking also focuses on preserving the principles upon which the country’s democracy was founded to help ensure a limited role for government and the protection of individual rights as provided for in the Constitution. The Foundation also supports organizations and/or programs that encourage personal responsibility and leadership, and those upholding traditional American values. The Foundation will consider awarding general operating support or special project requests from organizations whose goals and purposes are in keeping with the Foundation’s mission. Preference is given to those organizations and projects that demonstrate the application of the Foundation’s guiding principles to society’s institutions. It does not support human service agencies, museums or museum projects, churches or church projects, or scientific or medical research projects. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
