National Dance Project
Category: Arts & Culture
DescriptionThe Project provides a system of support for the living, growing discipline of contemporary dance by supporting the creation/production and engagement/touring of dance in the United States and beyond. The Project views touring as central to the vitality of dance as an art form and structures its granting process to link the creation and distribution of new work. Production grants fund the creation of new dance work that will tour nationally. The grants support costs incurred through the work’s artistic development. Projects supported by production grants also receive touring support for the season following the work’s creation. Choreographers, artists, and companies are eligible to apply for production grants. Projects must have U.S. presenter partner. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
