Description

The Foundation supports religious, educational, and social programs locally, nationally, and internationally that bring help and hope to the less fortunate, primarily by seeding short-term pilot projects that have the potential of self support. Local grants are awarded to organizations in Sarasota, Fla., the Foundation’s headquarters. National projects are defined as having an activity or focus in multiple places throughout the country. An international project activity, regardless of the sponsoring organization’s geographic location, must take place outside of the United States. Grant decisions are based on need, timeliness, local ownership, credible sponsorship, innovation, and multiplication. Also of interest are requests that expect only short-term funding and require the Foundation to only pay a portion of the total need. Projects with matching grant funding are of particular interest. Additional information, including an online application, can be found on the Web site.
