DescriptionThe Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the athletic shoe company. It focuses its primary grantmaking efforts on the prevention of childhood obesity. Grants are also awarded for education and athletics programs, health and human services programs, arts and culture, and the environment. The Foundation also responds, as needed, to disaster relief around the globe. Geography drives the Foundation’s grantmaking. It looks to partner with nonprofit organizations in the communities in which it operates, specifically Boston and Lawrence, Mass.; and Norridgewock, Skowhegan, and Norway, Maine. Letters of inquiry are accepted year-round. Additional information is available on the Web site.
