National Science Foundation
Category: Education
DescriptionThe Foundation’s Ethics Education in Science and Engineering program accepts proposals for research and educational projects to improve ethics education in all of the science and engineering fields that NSF supports. Of particular interest are programs that are interdisciplinary or inter-institutional. Proposals must focus on improving ethics education for graduate students in those fields, although the proposed programs may also benefit advanced undergraduates. The program is particularly interested in proposals addressing issues of cultural relativity in research that’s conducted in an international context and those addressing intellectual property issues, including scientific publishing. Additional information, including the appropriate program officer to contact, can be found on the Web site.
